Halloween Monster Cookies

T his spooky cookie is a combination of an oatmeal cookie, peanut butter cookie, chocolate chip cookie and a candy cookie all together. Of all the cookies out there this has to be one of my favorite because of all the flavors that are going on. I used to purchase these at my old job almost every lunch because they are just so delicious. With these cookies you can make the cookies out of leftover Halloween candy from Trick r' Treating. I've seen it with different kinds of stuff in them but traditionally they have oatmeal, peanut butter, chocolate chips and candy pieces like M&M's.  All of the great stuff in them. I'll do a little confessing, I had to do these cookies twice. I tried to use a candy-coated chocolate candy that was Halloween colors and they didn't come out right so I made them again. Don't worry they won't go to waste. _______________________________________________________________________________

Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Pop Tarts

A pumpkin pie, a cheesecake and a pop tart just got together had a baby and created this delicious pop tart.  This has to be one of my favorite combinations during the this pumpkin spice season. I've made a pumpkin spice cheesecake for the holidays for the last couple of years. If you have been following my blog you would have seen several other pumpkin spice post: Pumpkin Spice Extract , Pumpkin Spice Syrup , Slow Cooker Pumpkin Butter , Pumpkin Spice Pound Cake , and Pumpkin Spice Sugar Cookies . So this year I decided to combine a pumpkin pie and a cheesecake in a little pastry instead of making a whole pumpkin spice cheesecake. I will be making hand pies closer to the holiday dinner season called Thanksgiving in America so keep an eye out for that. I've made some other tasty pop tart last month Maple Brown Sugar Cinnamon . __________________________________________________________________________________________ Pumpkin Spic

Homemade Halloween Oreos

A twist on a classic chocolate sandwich cookie with crème in the middle with a spooky Halloween but better. These are soft and chewy without milk. I love Oreos!  You can see that in two other posts that I have made Jumbo Oreo Cheesecake Cookies and Eggless Oreo Cheesecake Cookie Dough . In the past, I have made homemade Oreos but that was years ago and the recipe just didn't come out right. The cookies were really crunchy and had hardly any flavor and it took me many years to finally get a perfect recipe. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Homemade Halloween Oreos Time Prep: 15 minutes Chill: 1 1/2 hour Baking: 10 minutes Ingredients   Oreo Cookies 2 1/2 cups Unbleached All Purpose Flour 3/4 cups Dark Brown Sugar, packed 1 cup Granulated Sugar, I used unrefined sugar 1 1/4 (2 1/2 sticks) Unsalted Butter, softened 3/4 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt 1 cup Black

Chipotle Pepper Turkey Chili

Smoky, spicy turkey chili just in time for the cooler months ahead that will warm you right up from the first bite to the last. In my neck of the woods our first cold front has come through (FINALLY)  and it been in the 50's at night and 70's in during the daytime. Where I live that is the beginning of Autumn. Since is cooler outside that is when my family starts to have chili at least once a week or every other week. Its quick, easy, fast and delicious. This is one meal that I remember eating a lot growing up and loved eating. It always made me feel like a warm hug while I eat it. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Chipotle Pepper Turkey Chili Time Prep: 5 minutes Cooking: 3 to 5 hours Ingredients 2 pounds (32 ounces) Ground Turkey Meat 48 ounces (6 cups) Tomato Sauce 1 6 ounce can Tomato Paste 3 cups Water 1/2 cup Dark Chili Powder 1 Tablespoon Chip

Black Magic Halloween Cupcakes

Your eyes might be deceived that they are burnt but they are not. They are filled with (good) black magic , topped with ghostly buttercream, bugs, bones, pumpkins and specs of witches dandruff. Today when I made these cupcakes I had three little devils help me mix the batter and also decorated some of them, my niece Lady Bug and nephew Mikey and Bodean. I used a black cocoa powder for these to give them the spooky dark cupcakes.  The black cocoa powder is not bitter at all, its actually a sweet chocolate flavor. I used black cocoa powder in a different post, Black Magic Sauce . These are kid approved, after the decorated their cupcakes they ate them up. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Black Magic Halloween Cupcakes Time Prep: 20 minutes for Buttercream         20 minutes for Cupcakes Baking: 15 to 20 minutes Yields: 30 cupcakes Ingredients Vanilla Bean Butt

Mummy Pizza Bread

Just in time for this spooky month of October, quickly now come eat this Mummy before it comes out of its tomb coming right for you. But don't worry, you will be safe against Vampires because of the garlic crust. This braided bread is stuffed full of guts, cheese and dripping with blood I mean pizza sauce and toppings brushed with Vampires Kryptonite, garlic. So you will be safe when you go out Trick o' Treating this Halloween. Halloween has to be my favorite holiday, once 11:59 hits on October 31st I already can't wait for the following year for Halloween and it doesn't hurt that my birthday isn't too far after Halloween. This is a braided bread you may also know it as challah.  Its a traditional Jewish bread normally served around Passover. I've seen it filled with cinnamon sugar, roast garlic and parmesan but I chose pizza because I love pizza. ___________________________________________________________________
