Roasted Garlic Parmesan Monkey Bread

Roasted garlic butter-olive oil with parmesan, parsley and Italian seasonings baked together than pull apart and dip in marinara sauce or tomato soup.
This is a savory version of a monkey that is normally in a caramel and cinnamon like sauce. It is the same thing that you can pull apart and munch on it.
The holidays are coming up and this would be perfect for the friends and family that come over. Make this as an appetizer for your guess with a little tomato sauce or make this dinner with soup before the major eating.

You get the slight sweetness from the roasted garlic and saltiness from the parmesan. Its making my mouth water just writing about it.

Roasted Garlic Parmesan Monkey Bread

Time
Prep: 20 to 25 minutes
Proofing: 1 hour 30 minutes
Baking: 25 to 30 minutes

Ingredients

Dough
4 cups Unbleached All Purpose Flour
2 1/2 teaspoons Dry Active Yeast
1 cup Warm Milk
2/3 cup Warm Water
2 teaspoons Honey or Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons Fine Sea Salt
1 tablespoon Olive Oil

Roasted Garlic Butter-Olive Oil Coated
3/4 Cup (1 1/2 sticks) Unsalted Butter,
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Minced Roasted Garlic
1 tablespoon Dried Italian Seasoning
2 teaspoon Dried Parsley
1 cup Grated Parmesan

1. For dough: heat up milk and water for 2 minutes or until break the chill of the milk and water. Add yeast and honey or sugar. Let that get bubbly for 10 minutes. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add yeast mixture to flour and mix until dough in well combined. Knead in the bowl for 5 minutes until smooth. Dust the bowl then cover for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until double in size.
2. Coating: In a medium sauce pan, melt butter and 1 tablespoon Olive Oil. Add minced roasted garlic, lower the heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Set aside to let cool slightly. Strain butter to get rid of the white foam and garlic.
3. Coat tube pans or Bundt pans with nonstick cooking spray. Add Italian Seasoning and Parsley to butter.
4. One by one, pinch a golf ball size worth of dough then dough in the butter and place in the pan in 3 layers sprinkling 1/4 cup parmesan cheese between layers. Cover pan and proof for 30 minutes or you can proof in the fridge overnight, just take out about 30 minutes before baking.
5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sprinkle the rest of the parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning and parsley over the top and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. If it starts to brown too fast, cover the top for the last 10 to 15 minutes.
6. Let cool on a wired rack for 5 to 10 minutes. Invert on a plate and serve warm with marinara or tomato soup.
